Theresa B. (Stodolski) Koziar

Theresa B. Koziar, 98, of Westport, beloved life partner of the late John Lecouras and beloved wife of the late Harold Koziar, passed away peacefully in her daughter, Gail Heitz’s home Tuesday, December 28th.  Theresa was born in Bridgeport, beloved daughter of Peter Stodolski and Florence Gripp.

Theresa retired many years ago as an assembler at the Remington Rand Shaver Company in Bridgeport.

Survivors include a son, Gary Koziar and surrogate daughter, Rose Roberge, daughter, Gail Heitz, grandsons, Jeremy Heitz and Alexander Heitz and several nieces and a nephew.

Theresa was predeceased by two sisters, Stella Hiza and Bertha Buckley, three brothers, Joseph, Stephen and William Stodolski and several other nieces and nephews.

Theresa was the Ultimate Mother to many and a Devoted Grandmother.  She was a giving, unselfish and very practical woman, always saving and giving to others.  She will be extremely missed by all who knew her and were blessed to be in her company.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Thursday, December 30, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Ann’s Church, 481 Brewster Street, Bridgeport. Interment will follow in Mountain Grove Cemetery, Bridgeport.  Friends may greet the family Thursday from 9:00 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. in the Spear-Miller Funeral Home, 39 South Benson Road, Fairfield.
