Stewart E. Nazzaro, Sr.

Stewart E. Nazzaro, Sr. passed away peacefully on January 21, 2021, just short of his 91st birthday, with his loving wife Joy at his side.  He was born the elder son of Stewart J. and Mae P. Nazzaro on January 29, 1930 in Millburn, New Jersey.

Mr. Nazzaro graduated in 1947 from Millburn High School. He went on to earn a business degree from Rutgers University in 1951 as a member of the United States Air Force ROTC and was commissioned a second lieutenant upon graduation and honorably discharged as a first lieutenant.  After two years of active-duty service abroad, he joined the General Electric Company as management trainee in 1953.   After a nearly 40-year executive career with GE he retired in 1990 as a manager of employee relations at the company’s headquarters in Fairfield, Connecticut. 

Mr. Nazzaro is survived by wife Joy S. Nazzaro of Fairfield, Connecticut; his son Stewart E. Nazzaro Jr. and wife Tracy A. and his grandchildren Adam T. and Ethan S. of Amelia Island, Florida; his daughter Marise A. Nazzaro of Amelia Island, Florida; and his son Ned. R. Nazzaro and wife Jean of Arlington, Virginia.

A walk-through Wake will be held at Spear Miller Funeral Home, 39 South Benson Road, Fairfield, CT 06824 Friday, January 29, 2021 from 5-7PM. The Funeral Mass will be held at St. Anthony of Padua Church, 149 South Pine Creek Road, Fairfield, CT 06824 on Saturday, January 30, 2021 at 10AM.
