Stella Marie (DeFilippo) Sheping

Stella Marie Sheping, age 95, of Greenville, SC, beloved wife of the late Ward F. Sheping, passed away peacefully, Friday, April 9, 2021 at NHC Healthcare.  Born in Mt. Vernon, NY one of 10 children to the late Dominick and Guistina DeFilippo, she had been a Westchester area resident for most of her life prior to moving to Fairfield, and later, South Carolina.  Mrs. Sheping worked for many years in cosmetic and jewelry sales in department stores.  Stella delighted in time spent with her family and friends.  She will be deeply missed by her daughter, Sharon Tursi-Trotta and her husband Joseph of Inverness, FL; a devoted grandson, Christopher Ward Tursi and his wife Denise of Southbury, CT; two cherished great-grandchildren, Kyle and Megan; her loving companion Jim DiFiore, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.  She was predeceased by five brothers and four sisters.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday, April 17, 2021 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Pius X Church, Fairfield.  Interment will be in Oak Lawn Cemetery.  Friends may greet the family Friday from 2-4 p.m. in the Spear-Miller Funeral Home, 39 South Benson Road, Fairfield.  Face masks are required for all services.
