Robert Casey

Robert C. Casey (affectionately known to some as Jack), age 56, of Black Rock, passed away on October 18, 2021.  Born in Huntington, NY, Rob was raised in Redding and was a graduate of Joel Barlow High School.  He worked as a carpenter his entire career.  In his younger years he loved to play golf and enjoyed his time spent at the Redding Country Club with family and friends. Rob volunteered for Meals-On-Wheels and loved spending time with his daughter Marie fishing, hiking, going to Bridgeport Bluefish games and walks around St. Mary’s by the Sea.  Rob also enjoyed spending time on Block Island with his family.  He will be sadly missed by his beloved daughter Marie L. Casey of Norwalk; his father, Daniel Casey, Sr. of Black Rock; two sisters, Laura Horrigan and her husband Robert of Roxbury, Christine Baldwin and her husband Peter of Rye, NH, brothers Daniel Casey, Jr. and his wife Jennifer of Waxhaw, NC, J. Stephen Casey and his wife Rocio of Fairfield, Brad Casey, and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, cousins and his former wife and mother of his daughter, Robin Risolo of Norwalk.  He was predeceased by his mother, Sandra Casey.  Friends may greet the family Friday, November 5, 2021 from 5-8 p.m. in the Spear-Miller Funeral Home, 39 South Benson Road, Fairfield.  A prayer service celebrating Rob’s life will conclude the visitation.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the National Alliance on Mental Illness, NAMI Fairfield, 148 Beach Road, Fairfield, CT 06824.
