Margaret M. (Clarke) Stewart

Margaret M. Stewart, 73, of Fairfield, passed away peacefully at home on April 18, 2022. Margaret was the devoted and loving wife of Charles Stewart for 51 years. Margaret was born April 7, 1949 in Greenock, Scotland to the late James Clarke and Alexanderina McKay.

Margaret was a deli manager for many years before enjoying retirement prior to her illness. Margaret enjoyed knitting, traveling with her husband and family, spending time with her granddaughters, and hosting/entertaining for friends and family. 

In addition to her husband Charles, Margaret is survived by her sons, Derek and David; their wives, Nicole and Megan; her grandchildren, Charlee, Emma, and Ava; her siblings and their spouses, Elizabeth (Betty) Byrne, William Byrne, James Clarke and May Clarke. Margaret was predeceased by her parents, James and Alexanderina Clarke.

Family and friends are invited to a wake on Thursday April 28, 2022 from 4-7pm with a prayer service at 7pm at the Spear Miller Funeral Home, 39 South Benson Rd., Fairfield, CT.
