Joseph A. Walsh

Joseph A. Walsh, 56, of Bridgeport passed away peacefully with his family by his side at Yale- New Haven Hospital on Saturday, March 12, 2022. Joe was born in Saint Petersburg, FL on June 17, 1965 to Marilyn Bostwick Walsh and the late George Walsh.
Joe was a graduate of Andrew Warde High School in Fairfield and was the proprietor of Walsh Heating and Cooling, LLC for many years and took great pride in his work. He enjoyed watching sports, particularly the Cleveland Browns, Tampa Bay Lightning, a Nascar race with his mom, or any event he could watch with his children. Joe enjoyed listening to music, attending concerts and vacationing in Bermuda, Florida, Vermont, and Puerto Rico. Joe was an animal lover and had many companions of his own throughout his lifetime. He was a kind, generous, and loving father, son, brother and friend and will be deeply missed by all who loved him.
Joe is the proud father of Shannon and Joseph Walsh, he made sure to remind his children every day of his unconditional love and appreciation for them. Joe will be remembered by his loving mother Marilyn Walsh whom he visited every Sunday. He is also survived by his siblings Kevin Walsh and his wife Denise, Bonny Ryan and her husband Foster, Robin Billmeyer and her husband Blake, the mother of his children Deanne Walsh, as well as his partner Carole Gallo Schultz and her daughter, Amber Schultz. He also leaves nieces Megan and Emily Billmeyer, nephews Connor and Kyle Walsh , along with many cousins and friends. He was predeceased by his maternal and paternal grandparents as well as his best friend “Bubba" Davis.
A funeral service will be held on Wednesday March 16 at 7PM in the Spear Miller Funeral Home, 39 South Benson Rd., Fairfield. Friends and family may visit from 3PM until the service. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to: The Shriners Hospitals for Children.
