Janet Cecilia Maldonado

Janet Cecilia Maldonado passed away peacefully at home in Fairfield, CT on September 17, 2021 at the age of 74.  She was born in Bridgeport CT to Andrew and Magdalena Pejinsky. 

Janet persevered through the trials and tribulations of life from an early age with positivity and a driven passion to help others.  She never held back from offering her advice, encouragement or a helping hand.  Her aspiration to help others came from the heart and was exhibited through her kindness and care as a nurse’s aide and teacher’s assistant.   

She devoted herself with great ardor to her family, lovingly providing hope, guidance, security and shelter.  She never hesitated for a chance to share laughter, a dance or to enjoy time with family.  Her intuitive wisdom taught her to listen to not only the spoken word but to the hearts of those, she loved.   

As your children, we will strive to have our actions always honor you and exude our love for you. 

As a wife, there are no words better suited than those of Proverbs 31:29 NIV, “Many women do noble things, but you surpass them all”. 

She cultivated a love that will be eternal and we will carry her in our hearts always. 

A loving wife, mother and grandmother, she is survived by her beloved husband, Juan Jose Maldonado, her devoted children, Rafael Ramos, Norberto Ramos Jr. and Jason Maldonado: and grandchildren; Michael Angelo Diaz, Samantha Ramos, Isaias Maldonado and Julyssa Maldonado.

In addition, to cherish her memory her niece Stacy Ruebenacker who was more like a daughter to Janet had a several nieces Jennifer, Rebecca, Rachael Pejinsky and nephew David Pejinsky. Great nieces Jordan Mathis and Jaylan Chiles (Jaquay Chiles) great-great nieces Ella,Aubrielle and great-great nephew Jaquay Jr.  And lastly,Great nephew Damon Jr.

Friends and family are invited for a Memorial Service on Tuesday, September 28, 2021 at 12:00pm at the Spear-Miller Funeral Home; 39 South Benson Road, Fairfield.
