Jane Martin died peacefully at her home in Orange CT on Friday, May 12, 2023 with family.  Jane was born in 1938 to Thomas and Irene Ellsworth of Gilman Street Bridgeport.  Jane was a graduate of St Ann’s School, Bridgeport, and Lauralton Hall of Milford, 1956.  Jane attended Southern Connecticut State University and graduated with a B.S. in Education in 1961.  She taught kindergarten at Barnum School, Bridgeport from 1961-1963.  Jane married George P. Jane is remembered for her loving support of her children and her care taking of her Mother in law and her Mother.  Jane was an avid sports fan and spent many hours at fields and courts cheering on her son and daughter, their teammates and coaches.  Jane also enjoyed reading fiction, trips to the casino, transporting friends to and from appointments, and celebrating holidays.  Jane was a devout Roman Catholic, and always had a kind word to say to strangers and family, alike.  Jane was a treasure to be around and taught her children how to appreciate love and life, and to act in more virtuous ways.
