James Alexander Geraghty

James Alexander Geraghty, 66, of Fairfield, Connecticut, passed away at home on May 11, 2023.

Jim was born on March 8, 1957 in Yonkers, New York to James and May Geraghty. He was a graduate of Sacred Heart High School in Yonkers, New York and Manhattan College in Riverdale, New York where he majored in Chemical Engineering and was a member of the Alpha Phi Delta fraternity. He had recently retired from a career at Microsoft. He was a devout Catholic all of his life, and a parishioner of Holy Family Church in Fairfield.

Jim was predeceased by his parents, James and May Geraghty, and is survived by his sisters, Karen Geraghty, Sharon (Larry) Gulley, niece Meghan Geraghty, nephews Kevin Geraghty and George O’Donnell, and his beloved cousins, godchildren and friends.

Jim will be remembered by many people for many things, but most of all for his love and loyalty to family, as well as his love of animals, sailing (long time member of the Fayerweather Yacht Club), and all things Irish.

Interment has been private. A celebration of life will be held at a future date. Please consider a donation to the Connecticut Humane Society (cthumane.org) in Jim’s memory.
