Irene Dorothy Lesinsky Mailloux, 103, was finally reunited with the love of her life on July 31, 2022. A devoted wife to her beloved husband of 41 years, J. Wilfred “Bill” Armand Mailloux. Bill passed in 1979, and Irene spent the last 43 years talking about how much she was looking forward to seeing him in heaven.
Irene was born in Bridgeport on July 27, 1919 to the late John and Maria (Laler) Lesinsky, who raised a large family of five sons and four daughters in Bridgeport, Conn.
After Bill and Irene married and raised three children of their own, Irene took employment at Warnaco, where she continued working until retirement. Irene was a devout and faithful member of Holy Family and St. Emery Parish in Fairfield, of which she remained a resident of for over 75 years.
Irene lived a long, happy and contented life. Through the years, she enjoyed homemaking, sewing, growing her garden, feeding the squirrels and preparing grand feasts for family gatherings. However, Irene’s greatest pleasure came from being a wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.
Irene died peacefully in her sleep at St. Joseph’s Manor in Trumbull soon after suļ¬ering a stroke. She was pre-deceased by her son, Gerald W. Mailloux and daughter Judith Mailloux Reichardt and grandson Joseph G. Mailloux. She was survived by daughter Joan C. Trout and was a beloved grandmother of nine and thirteen great-grand children.
A private graveside service was held in Lawncroft Cemetery in Fairfield, Conn.
