Dolores Hoffman Fulton

Dolores Hoffman Fulton, age 94, of Westport, passed away the morning of Wednesday, January 12, 2022 at Meadow Ridge in Redding. Born to German immigrants, Emil and Matilda (Marquat) Dullin, Dolores was born and raised in Chicago, IL.
At the age of 18, Dolores married Phillip Hoffman and began their family. After relocating from the Chicago area for Phil to pursue his career, the family ultimately settled in Westport in 1962. Dolores obtained her licensing to work as a real estate broker; over the course of 15 years she helped many families in the Westport area through Shavell Flacks Real Estate, William Raveis and Jo Sherman Real Estate. She was very active in her community, joining the Westport Young Women's League and the Westport Cotillion, as well as a Saturday night bridge group and a gourmet group. Dolores loved dancing and dressing up for any occasion. She had great compassion and genuine curiosity for other people, always inquiring about their life stories.
After the passing of Phil in 1971, she later met Ken Fulton after being set up for a blind date. The two married in 1985 and Ken soon immersed himself in many of the activities Dolores was a part of, with the addition of traveling and golf. They had shared 21 blissful years together before Ken's passing in 2006.
Dolores will be greatly missed by her three beloved children, Scott Hoffman (April) of Fairfield, Nancy Howes (James) of Newport, RI, and David Hoffman of St. Augustine, FL; six cherished grandchildren, Justin Paul, Kalyn Paul Wiedl, Ryan Hoffman, Evan Hoffman, Holland Hoffman and Skyler Hoffman; four treasured great grandchildren, Joella Hoffman, Minka Hoffman, Ava Hoffman, and Mads Wiedl; as well as several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Dolores is predeceased by her four siblings, Ginny, Frieda, Adeline, and Gustof.
