Claire Librandi

Claire Librandi, 97, of Fairfield, formerly of Cape Cod Ma. and Cos Cob CT. passed away peacefully on Friday March 25, 2022. Claire was the beloved wife of the late Frank Librandi. Claire was born in Dighton, MA on November 3, 1924 to the late Joseph and Mary Barrett O’Connell.

After completing school, Claire worked at Greenwich Hospital, where she met Frank. After their retirement, Claire and Frank moved up to Cape Cod, where they lived until he passed away in 2000. Claire was an ardent follower of UCONN women’s’ basketball and the New England Patriots, with a special affection for Tom Brady. Her greatest joy came from spending time at the beach and being surrounded by her family.

Claire is the loving mother of Stephen (Susan) Librandi of Fairfield and Hank (Sharon) Librandi of Cos Cob. Her most beloved role was that of Nana, Nana Cape Cod, Super Nana and the Real Nana to her 7 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren.  

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday March 31at 11AM at St. Pius X Church, 834 Brookside Drive, Fairfield. Private Burial will be held at the Massachusetts National Cemetery. In Lieu of Flowers, memorial contributions may be made to: American Cancer Society.
