Alfred Fressola, age 76, passed away on April 29, 2023 at Yale New Haven Hospital after a 26 month battle against pancreatic cancer. Alfred confronted his illness with incredible bravery and fortitude.
Born on November 22, 1946 in Bridgeport, Connecticut, Al was the youngest of three children to the late Michael and Anna Fressola. Al graduated from the University of Connecticut School of Law in 1973 receiving his JD. He was a lifelong UCONN sports fan right up until his passing. He was a family man to his core, committed to his wife and son throughout his life. He was a hard working patent attorney and managing partner of Ware, Fressola, Maguire & Barber. He was also an astronomy, tennis, and sports car aficionado; all of which highlighted his great love of life.
In addition to his loving wife Cecilia, Alfred is survived by his son, Brendan and his husband Axel; his sisters, Michele Ambrose and her husband Joseph of Easton, and Irene Cox of Bedford, NH; his cousins, Bob and Art Fressola, and Dr. Bill Gasco, who were all like brothers to him; as well several nieces, nephews, and extended family.
The family would like to express their heartfelt gratitude to Al’s oncologist Dr. Jill Lacy as well as the compassionate staff at the Yale New Haven Medical ICU.
