Alex V. Lucas

Alex Vincent Lucas 89, of Fairfield, passed away peacefully at home on Monday March 15, 2021.  Born August 26, 1931 in Fairfield, Alex was the son of the late Alex Ambrose Lucas and Philomena (Fanny) Sileo Lucas.

Al’s greatest love was his family. Al was married to Joyce (Markland) Lucas for 58 years until her death in 2018. He leaves behind his two children, Lorraine Lucas Ryan, and Ronald Lucas and his wife Bina. He also has five grandchildren, Lauren Nordt and her husband Jeff, Gregory Ryan and his wife Shannon, Julia Ryan and Travis Holt, Michael Lucas, and A.J. Lucas.  He also has 2 great-grandchildren, Charlotte and Jackson Nordt.

He is also survived by his sisters in law Marsha George and husband Albert, Sheila Markland, and Nancy Lucas, as well as many beloved nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Al was a Tool and Die Manufacturing Superintendent for Sargent Manufacturing in New Haven Ct. He served over 40 years in this field. 

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday March 19, at 10 a.m. at Holy Family Church, 700 Old Stratfield Road, Fairfield. Interment will follow in Lawncroft Cemetery. A walk-through visitation will be held Thursday, March 18, from 4-8 p.m. in the Spear-Miller Funeral Home, 39 South Benson Road, Fairfield.
