William "Billy" Michael LeVasseur

William “Billy” Michael LeVasseur, age 52, of Fairfield, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family and friends on October 23, 2025. Born in Waterbury, he was one of five children of the late Michael and Rose (Sirica) LeVasseur.

Billy graduated from the Culinary Institute of America with an Associates in Culinary Arts. His passion for cooking led him to work as a chef for the Brunswick School in Greenwich, a job he loved and took great pride in.

In 2003, he married the love of his life, Anne, and they settled down in Fairfield to start their family in 2005.

Affectionately known by all as “Uncle Billy”, he had a heart bigger than himself, and always made a friend wherever he went. He was a devout member of St. Anthony of Padua Church and the Gaelic American Club. Some of his favorite hobbies included sailing, debating politics, cooking for friends and family, visiting amusement parks and cheering on the Patriots. But most of all, he loved and cherished spending time with his wife and daughters.

Billy will be sadly missed by his wife, Anne (Casey) LeVassuer; their two daughters, Virginia "Ginny" Rose and Annelise Elizabeth; his siblings- Elizabeth Keith (Wayne), Victoria LeVasseur, Michael LeVasseur (Tina), Rose Loya (Drew); his in-laws- David Casey (Suzanne), Virginia Sears (Jon), Loretta Oberholtzer (Scott), Martha Murphy (Charles), Chris Casey (Heather); many loving nieces and nephews; countless friends; and, especially, his loving dog, Lucy.

He was predeceased by his parents, Michael William LeVasseur and Rose (Sirica) LeVasseur.

Friends may greet the family on Wednesday, October 29 from 4-8pm at the Spear-Miller Funeral Home, 39 South Benson Road, Fairfield CT. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place the following day, Thursday October 30, at 10am at St. Anthony of Padua Church, 149 South Pine Creek Road, Fairfield CT. Interment will follow at Oak Lawn Cemetery.
