Timothy R. Casale, age 64, of Fairfield, beloved husband of 31 years to Laura Miller Casale, passed away peacefully Saturday, December 6, 2025 in the comfort of the home that he built after a courageous three years battle with Pancreatic Cancer. Born in Bridgeport, the eldest son of the late Ruth Lasko (who passed on November 22, 2025) and Louis Casale, Tim had been a lifelong Fairfield resident. He graduated from Roger Ludlowe High School in 1979. Tim was the former owner of Southport Automotive Service where his greatest joy was working on cars, and not necessarily working behind the counter. He was a hands-on owner who made every one of his customers feel confident with his work. Affectionately referred to as the “Car Guy”, Tim was always eager to help people with any project. He was a man of strong integrity and moral compass who worked hard his entire life and put others before himself. He was a Master Mechanic, an accomplished woodworker, metal worker and a keen problem solver and if he couldn’t fix it he “knew a guy”. Tim loved to cook and smoke meats and proudly constructed his own smoker. In his spare time he enjoyed attending estate sales (Tim loved “stuff’), the CT Post Crossword puzzle and Suduko. His greatest joy in life was spending time with Laura and also helping others. He was a member of the Bridgeport Rifle Club and a dedicated Red Cross blood donor having received his 11 Gallon Pin prior to illness. He was predeceased by his beloved step-father, Jack Lasko, maternal grandparents Anna and John Dakai and paternal grandparents Josephine and Louis Casale, Sr. In addition to his loving wife Laura, Tim will be sadly missed by his siblings, Katherine Casale (Chris), Linda (Joseph) Giesken, David (Meghan) Casale and Michael Lasko; beloved in-laws, Johanne (Michael) Hagan, Robert (Elise) Miller, Capt. Patricia Miller, USN (Ret.), Katherine (Robert) Chimini, Jane (Dan) Laufer and Richard (Betsy) Miller, and several beloved cousins. Tim was the loving uncle of 23 nieces and nephews and 20 great-nieces and nephews. A wake will be held Thursday, December 11, 2025 from 4-7 p.m. in the Spear-Miller Funeral Home, 39 South Benson Road, Fairfield. Funeral service and burial will be held privately. In lieu of flowers, friends may consider a donation in Tim’s memory to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105-9959.
