In Loving Memory of Rosalia Scorsone

Rosalia Scorsone passed away peacefully on July 19, 2026, at the age of 99, surrounded by the love of her family. Rosalia was born on January 15, 1927, in Manhattan, New York, to the late Giuseppe and Francesca Patti. She lived a life defined by love and devotion to her family.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 56 years, Luigi Scorsone.

She was also predeceased by her sister Grazia Patti.

Rosalia is lovingly survived by her daughters: Mary Scorsone LaScola (Salvatore), Francesca Scorsone Bellizzi (John), and Anne Scorsone Lupo (Francesco). She was the proud and devoted grandmother of Angela LaScola, Paolo LaScola (Maria Laura), Piero Bellizzi (Rachel), Lia Bellizzi Nielson (Kyle), Francesca Lupo, and Alessandra Lupo. She was also blessed with four great-grandchildren: Massimo LaScola, Enzo Bellizzi, Santino Bellizzi, and Saverio Bellizzi Nielson. She is also survived by her beloved nieces, nephews, many cousins, and countless friends whose lives were enriched by knowing her.

Rosalia's greatest joy was her family. She was a dedicated mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother who devoted her life to caring and cooking for those she loved.

Rosalia’s favorite pastimes were watching Jeopardy, enjoying ice cream and chocolate.

Though she will be deeply missed, her beautiful spirit will remain forever in the hearts of all who were fortunate enough to know and love her.

May she rest in eternal peace, reunited with her beloved Luigi.

Friends and family may come to pay their respects on Thursday, July 23 from 3-7pm at the Spear-Miller Funeral Home, 39 South Benson Road, Fairfield CT 06824. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Friday, July 24 at 10am at Our Lady of the Assumption Church, 545 Stratfield Road, Fairfield, CT 06825. Burial will immediately follow the service at Ferncliff Cemetery, 280 Secor Road, Hartsdale, NY 10530.
