Roger V. Raymond

Roger V. Raymond, 89, of Fairfield, passed away peacefully on September 23. He was the beloved husband of Carlo Ann Raymond. Roger was born in Bridgeport to the late Louis W. and Alyce Sammon Raymond.

Roger worked for many years in the family business, Superior Plating. Roger was also a well-known beekeeper in Fairfield and founded Uncle Roger’s Honey, which he enjoyed sharing with the community.

He was an active parishioner of St. Pius X Parish, where he was a member of the Choir. He served as a Eucharistic Minister at Carolton nursing home and was a member of the Knights of Columbus. His greatest joys came from his family, friends, nature, and being of service to others.

In addition to his wife of 59 years, Carlo, he is survived by his loving daughter Jennifer, and his sister Melissa Barnes as well as nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. He was predeceased by his son, Gregory, as well as his brother John Raymond, and sister Candace Raveis.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, September 27 at 10am at St. Pius X Church, 834 Brookside Dr., Fairfield. Burial will follow in Oak Lawn Cemetery. Friends and family may visit on Friday, September 26 from 4-7 pm at the Spear-Miller Funeral Home, 39 South Benson Rd. Fairfield.
