Robert Warme

Robert L. Warme, age 69 of Fairfield passed away peacefully in his sleep on Sunday September 13, 2026. He was born in Bridgeport on December 1, 1956 to Doris Dages Warme Cakavell and the late Carl G. Warme.

Robert graduated from Roger Ludlowe High School where he was on the varsity wrestling team. He then furthered his education and graduated from the Connecticut School of Electronics in New Haven. He worked for many years as an Electronics Technician for General Datacom and Digitron. He enjoyed playing Chess and Checkers. He was a member of the Fairfield Senior Center. Bob was also am member of the Sound Cyclists Bicycle Club. He was an active Senior Olympic Champion winning many medals from CT. Masters games, and the CT Nutmeg Games. Bob was also a champion Kayak racer.

In addition to his mother, he is survived by his brother Carl V. Warme and his wife Jeanine of New Hampshire. His stepsisters; Wendy Cakavell of Hamden, and Linda Ard of North Carolina. He will also be remembered by his aunts and uncles; Janice Westberg, Louise Dages, Walter Dages, Robert Dages, as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. He was predeceased by his father Carl and his stepfather George Cakavell.

Friends and family may visit at the Spear-Miller Funeral Home, 39 South Benson Rd., Fairfield on Saturday September 26 from 10-11 AM. A Graveside Service will be held at 11:15 AM at Oak Lawn Cemetery.
