Robert D. Doxey

Robert D. Doxey, age 75, of Trumbull, formerly of Fairfield, passed away Wednesday, May 6, 2026. Born in Bridgeport, the son of the late John and Dorothy Douglas Doxey, he was raised in Fairfield and had been a lifelong area resident. A graduate of Roger Ludlowe High School, Robert worked as a plumber for many years. He loved collecting antiques and could be seen at many estate sales in the area. He is survived by and two cousins, Robert Gomulski and his wife Elizabeth of Monroe and Patricia Hoyt and her husband Philip of Danbury, and a niece Lynn Little. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his brother John E. Doxey, Jr. (Jed). 

A graveside service will be held Friday, May 15, 2026 at 11:00 a.m. at Oak Lawn Cemetery 1530 Bronson Road, Fairfield.
