Richard W. Mentes, Jr.

Richard W, Mentes, Jr., 68, of Monroe passed away on December 23, 2024 at St. Vincent’s Hospital. Richard was the son to the late Richard and Marie Mitchell Mentes. 

Richard was employed as a Dairy Plant Operator for local dairies before recently retiring from Stew Leonard’s. Richard was an avid sports fan, huge music fan, enjoyed travelling and loved reading the Sunday newspapers and especially reading the New York Post.

Richard is survived by his sisters, and his partner. 

A graveside service is planned for this spring at Lawncroft Cemetery in Fairfield. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Assoc or ASPCA.
