Kathryn Anita (Freeman) Ostrosky, 94, a life-long Fairfield resident, passed away peacefully on July 4th, 2025 at her home. She was born on September 1st, 1930 in Fairfield to the late Raymond and Maie (Walsh) Freeman. She graduated from Roger Ludlowe High School and, while there, she met her sweetheart and future husband, Frank Ostrosky Jr. They were married in December of 1951 and raised their growing family in Fairfield.
In their later years, Kathryn and Frank enjoyed traveling all across the country- from Florida to California. Most of all, Kathryn cherished spending time with her family, especially with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Kathryn is survived by her four children: James F. Ostrosky and his wife Connie of Chadds Ford, PA, Mary Ann Laven and her husband Brian of Shelton, CT, Thomas W. Ostrosky and his wife Jennifer of Medford, MA, and Carol Ann Ostrosky of San Jose, CA; six grandchildren: Anita J. (Laven) Baltayan and her husband Adam, Julie E. (Laven) Marrese and her husband Anthony, Natalie M. (Laven) Knox and her husband Robert, Emily J. Laven, Matthew R. Ostrosky, and Emma K. Ostrosky; and two great-grandchildren: Brian M. Baltayan and Jack W. Baltayan.
She was predeceased by her loving husband of 70 years, Frank, her parents Raymond and Maie, and her two siblings, Claire Gordon and Gene Freeman.
She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
Family and friends may visit and pay their respects at the Spear-Miller Funeral Home, 39 South Benson Rd, Fairfield on Friday, July 18th from 4-7pm. A Mass of Christian burial will take place on Saturday, July 19th at 10am meeting directly at Our Lady of the Assumption Church, 545 Stratfield Rd, Fairfield with interment to follow in Oak Lawn Cemetery.
