Joseph “Joey” Arthur Cocchia – Born 12/4/1977, Died 4/21/2025

If Joey understood he was dying, we think he would have wanted to write his own obituary. We wholeheartedly believe he’d want all of you to smile thinking of the impact he’s made on each of you.

Joey was passionate about his family, especially his mom and daughter, Bella. He looked forward to Sunday dinners (some of which included food he hunted!!) He was surrounded by his family until his death.

Joey was pre-deceased by his father, Arthur, survived by his mother, Joann Cerretani Cocchia, Daughter Isabella, Sisters Jennifer and Gina, Grandson Banks, Niece Sierra and great niece Gabriella, great nephew Giovanni and best friend Kevin “Skippy” Gilchrist. He is also survived by his beloved dog, Tank and his extended family and friends.

Please join us in a memorial service to honor Joey on Saturday April 26, 2025, from 2- 4 pm at the Spear-Miller Funeral Home, 39 South Benson Road, Fairfield, CT 06824.
