Jean C. Myers

Jean C. Myers, age 88, a longtime Fairfield resident, beloved wife of 67 years to Robert Myers, entered into eternal rest on Wednesday, April 11, 2018. Jean volunteered at Stratfield School for many years. She was a Girl Scout leader as well as a Cub Scout Den Mother. Jean was a member of the Order of Eastern Star, and very active at First Presbyterian Church, of Fairfield. The church was a major part of Jean's life where she was a member of the Ladies Association, attended bible study, the sewing club as well as many other ladies groups. In addition to her husband Robert, survivors include a son James Myers and his wife Lana of West Borough, MA, Joanne Every of Massachusetts and Linda Ferranti and her husband Anthony of Orange; five grandchildren, Jennifer Sawdy, Eric Every, Sean Every, Nicholas Ferranti and Heather Ferranti, and one great grandchild, Riley Sawdy; a brother Arthur Elasser and several nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be held on Monday, April 16, 2018 at 11:00 AM in the Spear-Miller Funeral Home, 39 S Benson Rd., Fairfield with the Rev. Dr. Edward Duffy officiating. Interment will follow in Lawncroft Cemetery. Friends may call in the funeral home from 10:00 AM until the time of the service. In lieu of flowers, donations in Jean's memory may be made to: The First Presbyterian Church, 2475 Easton Turnpike, Fairfield, CT 06825 to benefit the "Music Fund".
