Gwendolyn (Blanchard) O'Hara

Gwendolyn Blanchard O’Hara, born November 30, 1928, of Bridgeport, CT died on September 30, 2022.
She was a longtime resident of Fairfield who enjoyed quilting, scrabble, her church and travel. She was pre-deceased by her husband Francis, her sister Marsha, brothers, Harold and Preston and grandson Joey. She is survived by her children, Colleen O’Hara, Joanne (Tim) Choomack, Kathy (Rich) Riley and Francis (Margaret) O’Hara; five grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren. She also leaves behind two brothers, Charles and Earle Blanchard and many nieces and nephews. Gwen had a zest for life, many friends and was loved by all who knew her.
Funeral services will take place on Friday, October 7, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. at Spear-Miller Funeral Home, 39 South Benson Rd., Fairfield. Interment will be at St. Thomas Cemetery. Friends and family may call from 4 to 7 p.m. on Thursday.
In lieu of flowers, friends may donate to the charity of their choice.
