Gloria J. Jacques, 84, of Fairfield, passed away peacefully at home on September 30, 2026. She was the beloved wife of Phil Jacques, with whom she shared 63 years of marriage and a lifetime of family memories. Born in Bridgeport on March 17, 1942, Gloria was the daughter of the late Joseph and Mary Trzcinski.
Gloria had a passion for gardening and a special love of flowers, finding great joy in her garden. She was an enthusiastic, lifelong fan of the New York Mets and UConn women’s basketball, rarely missing a game. Above all, her greatest joy was her family. As a loving wife, mother, and grandmother, she held a special place in the lives of her children and grandchildren. Her family was her proudest legacy, and the memories they shared will remain close to their hearts.
In addition to her husband, Phil, Gloria is survived by her three children and their spouses: Philip Jacques and his wife, Suzanne; Jennifer Lockwood and her husband, Matthew; and Nicole Stephenson and her husband, Mark. She was the proud grandmother of Matthew, Alex, Josh, and Sydney Lockwood, and Parker Stephenson. Gloria was also blessed to meet her great-granddaughter, Vivian, a precious addition to the family she loved so dearly.
