His life was a tapestry of love, dedication, and passion, woven from the threads of family, career, and personal interests that defined him as a remarkable individual. Born on February 26, 1941, in Port Chester, New York, Cliff was the beloved son of Alma Elizabeth Pearson and Clifford Norman Hubbard, Sr. From an early age, he exhibited a curiosity and intellect that would lead him to achieve great things. He graduated from Port Chester High School in 1958 and pursued his passion for engineering at RPI in Troy, New York, where he earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering. In 1962, Cliff embarked on a career as a mechanical engineer at AMF Atomics, later AMF Thermotool Inc., where he devoted himself to the sales of high-frequency welding equipment. His dedication and expertise saw him rise to the position of VP of Domestic and Canadian Sales & Marketing, a role he held until 1985. Cliff’s commitment to his industry was evident in his service on the Fabricating Manufacturers Association Board of Directors for a decade, where his insights and leadership were greatly valued. Driven by his love for writing, Cliff then founded CH Advertising Inc., where he crafted technical brochures for the tube and pipe industry until 2003. His journey continued with the Fairfield Special Police, where he served until his retirement in 2015.

On December 30, 1972, Cliff married the love of his life, Carol Ann Marino in New York. Their union was a testament to enduring love and partnership, lasting 53 beautiful years. Together, they built a family filled with warmth and joy, raising two wonderful children, Leslie Ann Hubbard and Christopher Louis Hubbard. Cliff’s legacy extends through his grandchildren- Adrian, Gabriel, Cleo Enrique, and Kayla Hubbard- who brought immense joy to his life. He cherished every moment spent with them, sharing his wisdom and gentle spirit.

A man of many talents and interests, Cliff was an avid reader, puzzler, gardener, and traveler. He found solace in long walks with his faithful dog Niki, enjoyed playing the saxophone and listening to the soothing rhythms of country music. He delighted in swimming, writing poems and short stories, and rooting for the UCONN Women. Cliff’s fondness for Hallmark movies reflected his belief in love and kindness, values he embodied throughout his life.

His sister, Karen D’Isidoro and her husband Joseph, along with his sister-in-law Lois Koza, nephews Stuart Potter and Matthew Koza, and nieces Kelly Dinardo and Nancy Koza Chamidis, will forever treasure their memories of a man known for his kind soul, easy smile, and genuine love of people. Cliff was a true gentleman, a special person who left an indelible mark on all who knew him. Cliff will be remembered as a man on integrity, warmth, and compassion. His spirit will live on in the hearts of his family and friends, inspiring all to live with the same grace and kindness that he so effortlessly embodied. May he rest in peace, surrounded by the love he so generously gave throughout his remarkable life.
